      <image:title>Individual EMDR Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Individual therapy can be a windy, fragile road. Just like glass can bend and change in one state, when feeling open and secure EMDR can transform emotions, body states and beliefs. After the proper preparation, I can guide you through EMDR’s steps to identify and process target memories and the associated negative beliefs. EMDR can be a briefer treatment for recent traumas or single events, and will often require slower paced work for more complex traumas and attachment ruptures. Together we can assess your needs as you determine if EMDR may be a useful treatment for you. Some additional resources you may consult as you consider EMDR include the following: Books: Every Memory Deserves Respect by Michael Baldwin and Deborah Korn. Getting Past Your Past by Francine Shapiro. Websites: www.emdria.org www.ticti.org/treatment/emdr Video: Introduction to EMDR therapy Fees for Individual Therapy are $175 for a 55 minute session. Sessions are presently held via telehealth Monday- Thursday. I am licensed to work with individuals residing in Massachusetts and California.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>I sought out EMDR training as an additional tool to help trauma survivors. From the initial training with Francine Shapiro and the follow up with Roger Solomon in 2004, I was excited to “go with that”! However, as the sole clinician using EMDR on the community mental health team where I worked, I struggled to integrate all I learned. That isolation led me to a team, to my own consultation, and today to the passion to help other clinicians develop their EMDR skills. I understand the vulnerability in sharing one’s work, and look forward to helping clinicians see their own strengths and increase their skills. My areas of expertise are working with survivors of physical and sexual abuse, healing attachment ruptures and working with anxiety. I have experience assessing and working with dissociation, which is critical for effectively working with trauma survivors. I have worked with children, adolescents and now work mostly with adults. I value working with a diverse patient population and increasing access to EMDR. I recently trained in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) with Dr. Frank Corrigan. I continue receiving consultation and training in this newer treatment modality designed to process the experience of shock. I have trained in and use Recent Traumatic Event Protocol and the Flash Technique. I have also trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) which is complementary to EMDR. I also try to integrate learning from IFS, Polyvagal Theory, and psychodynamic therapy. I am a Certified EMDR therapist and member of EMDRIA. I am an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. I am licensed in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and California. I am not an in network provider for any insurance company, but do provide superbills which can be submitted for reimbursement if you have out of network benefits with your insurance.</image:caption>
